Look For The Good
We are all born with a negativity bias. That means that negativity is our natural “default”. The good news is… we can change that. Look for the good in your day. Keep a “gratitude” journal. Write 3 things from the day that you are grateful for. They can be anything- 1) You did not feel cold on your walk to the subway/office/supermarket. 2) You finished a nagging assignment or task, maybe you cleaned out a closet. 3) An old friend ‘appeared” and helped you with something – even a yummy lunch- whatever it is. When you know that you are going to write them down- EVERYTHING becomes a potential gift! Look for the gifts in your day.
