Life as a Celebration
Only one out of about 100 million sperm actually get to fertilize an egg. It’s amazing when you think about it. But I’m not trying to give you a biology lesson—what I want to emphasize is that YOU were meant to be here! And remind you that it’s so important to learn how to appreciate yourself and the gift of life that you have been given.
It's easy to get caught up in the hectic pace of life and forget how lucky you are. That’s why it’s essential to celebrate anything and everything—from obvious joys like a walk in the park, eating a delicious meal, or bonding with a friend. . . to the ordinary, such as the scent of fresh sheets, feeling the sun on your face, or a warm cup of tea. Don’t take anyone or anything for granted. Consistently looking for the good things in your life gives you opportunities for celebration.
Technique of the week: Practice gratitude every evening. Before you go to sleep, think about three things from the day that you feel grateful for. It could be that you had a meaningful conversation with someone, saw a beautiful flower blooming, or that your phone bill was lower this month—you get the gist. If you practice looking for the little things to appreciate, you will learn to be grateful all day long and fill your life with endless possible celebrations!
