Slow yourself down!
Slow yourself down!
We are so accustomed to hurrying in everything we do that we often rush needlessly.
When we rush, everything speeds up – our thoughts race, our heart pounds and our breathing accelerates. It makes it difficult to think clearly and make good decisions.
We often associate doing things slowly with inefficiency and perhaps, even laziness. We think speed helps us. Not true! Slowing down decreases stress and anxiety, lowers blood pressure, increases creativity and leads to better outcomes.
Make a conscious effort to slow down. Walk slower and feel your feet hit the ground. Drive slower and use red lights as a reminder to notice your breathing. Talk slower and pace your speech. Eat slower and chew more consciously.
Slowing down is so beneficial to your health and well-being! Stop all the rushing. You’ll be glad you did!
