Disapointment
Dealing with disappointment can be difficult. Disappointment comes when our expectations are not met. The greater we are invested in our expectations, the more difficult it is to adjust to different outcomes.
Negative emotions may be painful, but they may also be helpful to us depending on how we use them. We must remember that we are human and we will feel those emotions, but we don’t have to linger in them.
Rather than dwelling in sadness or dismissing or suppressing negative emotions, embrace them and use them as inspiration to make meaningful positive change.
Do something specific that will make a difference for you or for others. Focus on what you can be grateful for. Do something that helps a cause that’s important to you. Volunteer your services. This can help you avoid a downhill spiral and keep you from getting stuck in negativity.
