Be Your Own Best Friend

We all have internal monologues. The words we speak during these conversations, both positive and negative, influence our behavior and self worth. We can actively choose to be our own best friend or worst enemy by the language we use.

Negative self-talk results in lack of confidence, fear and self-doubt. Positive, uplifting language can be supportive, motivating and increase your self-esteem.

Shift the focus of your thoughts and words to be supportive and encouraging. The next time you are tempted to criticize yourself, stop and ask, “Would I say this to my best friend?”

You have the power to lift yourself up using your words. Talk kindly to yourself!
